IITRAM secures 5-star rating in university category in GSIRF 2021-22

The Executive Committee of the Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat (KCG) established by the Department of Education, Government of Gujarat on the recommendation of the duly appointed agency, the  Indian Centre for Academic Rankings & Excellence (ICARE) has announced the Gujarat State Institutional Rating Framework (GSIRF) rating of Higher Education Institutions across the state of Gujarat for the year 2021-22. Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research And Management (IITRAM), Maninagar, Ahmedabad has secured 5 star rating in the category of ‘UNIVERSITIES’ on the basis of comprehensive performance metrics as set out in the GSIRF.   

On the occasion, Prof. Amit Prashant, Director General, IITRAM said “This is a remarkable achievement for IITRAM. We have considerably improved our performance in the categories GSIRF assesses for the quality of higher education. We will strive to improve further in achieving similar recognition at the national level as well. In addition, IITRAM has recently secured a Centre of Excellence in Drone Technology by the Government of Gujarat. IITRAM has been established to contribute to the community of world-leading researchers by promoting excellence within disciplines and inter-disciplinary teams, tackling global challenges, providing cultural enrichment and thereby, benefitting the economy. With this vision, we will continue to take strategic initiatives to bring growth and performance of the Institute”. 

Following the Director General’s message, Prof. Sameer Dalvi, Director, IITRAM added “IITRAM is making significant progress in both Teaching and Research. IITRAM secured a 4 star rating last year. Securing a 5 star rating this year in GSIRF is a commendable achievement. This is possible only because of the hard work and dedication put forward by students, faculty and staff. I am confident that IITRAM will soon be among top universities in India”.  

IITRAM currently offers BTech and MTech in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. The Institute also offers PhD in various fields of Basic Sciences, Engineering and Humanities and Social Sciences. IITRAM has also started offering BTech in Computer Engineering from the academic year 2022-23. IITRAM is continuously striving to serve as a Center of Excellence in Teaching and Research in all areas pertaining to infrastructure with an aim of producing excellent Engineers, Entrepreneurs and Researchers.
