Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research And Management (IITRAM) Welcomes New Batch of Undergraduate Students with Orientation Programme to be Followed by 10 days Foundation Programme

The Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research And Management (IITRAM) located in Maninagar, Ahmedabad organized an orientation programme for the new inducted students for B.Tech courses in various branches of engineering. These students will be pursuing their Engineering dreams in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Computer Engineering at IITRAM. The programme was attended by students along with their parents / guardians.  

They were warmly welcomed by Prof. Sameer Dalvi, Director, IITRAM.  He said that the students are entering into a new phase of life and assured them this is an exciting journey of lifelong learning. He emphasized that IITRAM has excellent faculty and the curriculum is designed with the help of IITs, namely, IIT Bombay and IIT Gandhinagar. He mentioned two recent Centers of Excellence have been funded by Government of Gujarat namely, Center for Drone Technologies and Center for Artificial Intelligence. He reiterated IITRAM’s 5 star rating in the category of ‘UNIVERSITIES’ in GSIRF by the Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat. He also said that ‘I am sure all the youngsters who are present here will make use of this opportunity and bring their best efforts and hard work to facilitate our vision of creating outstanding Engineers, Researchers and entrepreneurs and leaders in the field of technology, business and education’. 

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Amit Prashant, Director General, IITRAM congratulated all the students and their parents. He added that student-faculty interaction is an important component in learning. He highlighted the benefits of living on campus. The expansion of campus is underway and will be completed within a year. With a live-in campus, the student-faculty interaction will the 24/7 that could be a good experience for students to shape their future. He added that students should take responsibility, work together to get things done to design their career path and future.  

This was followed by Dr. Meera Vasani, Associate Dean of Student Affairs who apprised about the life at IITRAM. She highlighted the various facilities, on campus and off-campus extracurricular activities taken by students.  Dr. Trudeep Dave, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs introduced the various courses and learning opportunities to the new students. 

The incoming students will go through a foundation programme of 10 days to make them familiar with the campus life and get acclimatized to the new environment. Some of the planned activities include yoga sessions, workshops on Quilling, toy making, model rocketry, cultural and sports events.
